*Attendance at one REQUIRED for New FDC Auditionees, Suggested for returning FDC members*

Audition Process:

1.) Auditionees will individually sing "My Country Tis of Thee" in their selected key 

2.) Auditionees will sing in randomized duets their portion of "Eye On It" 

3.) Auditionees will have a short break to eat, change clothing, etc.

4.) Auditionees will audition in groups the choreography and vocal portions of "Eye On It"

Audition Requirements/Considerations:

1.) Auditionees must attend at least ONE Singer/Dancer Learn Night.

2.) Auditionees should plan on staying for the ENTIRETY of FDC Auditions.

3.) Under extreme extenuating circumstances, please communicate with Mr. Caberos about recording a video audition                                                            (nicolas.caberos@k12.sd.us). 

4.) Auditionees should plan on "dressing up" for their vocal auditions (i.e. shirt and tie, dress, etc.). Please make sure all clothing items follow the            Mitchell Dress Code Policy. 

5.) Auditionees should plan on wearing proper athletic clothing for the dance portion of the audition (i.e. Tennis shoes, t-shirt, joggers, etc.)

6.) Auditionees should plan on bringing their own dinner/snack items to auditions. There is not a set time for our dinner break, the individual                singing portion of auditions can last a large/small chunk of time depending on the year. Please bring your own food rather than relying on                    having someone bring you dinner at an undetermined time. 

7.) Auditionees will need to fill out BOTH of the following prior to auditioning in order to be considered (give contract to Caberos at auditions):

FDC Tech Crew Interview Nights:

Monday, September 16th 5:30pm - 6:30pm Choir Office (P132)

Interviewing Process:

1.) Sign Up for an interview time on the Interview Sign-Up Sheet outside the Choir Room

2.) Interviews will not last longer than 10 minutes

3.) Interviews will be with Mrs. Lori Nettinga (Tech Crew Director) and Mr. Caberos

4.) Students will be asked a variety of questions, some examples listed below:

Why would you like to be an FDC Tech member?

Why would you be a successful FDC Tech member?

What does reliability look like to you? 

Tech Crew Requirements/Considerations:

1.) FDC Tech Crew should have the following characteristics: Responsible, Punctual, Focused, Organized, Proactive, Takes the initiative.

2.) FDC Tech Crew's schedule may vary from that of FDC Singer/Dancers. However, plan to attend all scheduled practices unless otherwise directed        by Ms. Lori. Tech Crew members must attend all performances and dress rehearsals. 

3.) Under extreme extenuating circumstances, please communicate with Mr. Caberos about interviewing at a separate time                                                    (nicolas.caberos@k12.sd.us).

4.) Interviewees should plan on "dressing up" for their interview (i.e. shirt and tie, dress, etc.). Please make sure all clothing items follow the                      Mitchell Dress Code Policy. 

5.) Interviewees will need to fill out BOTH of the following prior to auditioning in order to be considered (give contract to Caberos at interview):

Severe Tire Damage (FDC Band) Auditions

Friday, September 20th 3:30pm - 5:30pm High School Black Box 

FDC New Parents Meetings:

*Attendance at one REQUIRED for New FDC Auditionees, Suggested for returning FDC members*

Audition Process:

1.) Auditionees will play need to play their instrument's portion of the Audition Cut (posted in Band Room, also found in folder below).

Something Fast - measures 1 - 27 only (play lead parts)

2.) 2024 - 2025 Instrumentation: 

 Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Drumset, Aux Percussion, guitar, bass, piano, synth

Audition Requirements/Considerations:

1.) Auditionees should sign up for an audition time outside of the High School Band room.

2.) Under extreme extenuating circumstances, please communicate with Mr. Van Peursem about recording a video audition                                                    (joel.vanpeursem@k12.sd.us). 

3.) Auditionees should plan on "dressing up" for their auditions (i.e. shirt and tie, dress, etc.). Please make sure all clothing items follow the                        Mitchell Dress Code Policy. 

4.) Auditionees will need to fill out BOTH of the following prior to auditioning in order to be considered (give Contract to VP at Audition):
